International Sailing Festival and Historic Norwegian Championship in Larvik!
This August, Larvik will become the epicenter of Scandinavian and international sailing. Larvik Seilforening (Larvik Sail Club) invites you to a public celebration on the water. Here are the highlights that local businesses can look forward to:
Weekend of August 8–9: High-Speed Action and World-Class Elite
The First-Ever Norwegian Championship in Wingfoil: Norway’s very first official championship in Wingfoil—the world’s fastest-growing sailing discipline. Expect high speeds and spectacular sights on the water!
Open Norwegian Championship in iQFOiL (Olympic Class): The Norwegian women’s national team is currently considered the best in the world. They are coming to Larvik and have invited the national teams from Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and Switzerland—with potential competitors joining from as far away as Australia!
Weekend of August 14–16: Endurance and the "Scandinavian Tour"
Open Norwegian Championship in Finn Dinghy: This is one of the most physically demanding single-handed dinghies in existence. Larvik will be the first stop on a prestigious "Scandinavian Tour" that will later head to Sweden and Denmark, bringing sailors from all over Europe for an active holiday.
A Boost for Local Tourism: While the competitors battle it out on the water, their partners and support teams will be exploring and enjoying everything Larvik has to offer in terms of culture, shopping, and nature.
